International students can work part‑time during term time and full‑time during holiday breaks under a UK Student Visa. 

 

Post‑Study Work (Graduate Route)

After completing an eligible UK degree, graduates can apply for the Graduate Route Visa — the UK’s version of the Post‑Study Work (PSW) visa.

Important Update – From 1 January 2027

  • For students who apply on or after 1 January 2027, the Graduate Route grant will be 18 months instead of the previous 2 years for most bachelor’s and master’s graduates
  • PhD and other doctoral graduates will continue to be eligible for a 3‑year Graduate Route visa.
  • Those who complete their degrees before 1 January 2027 and apply for the Graduate Route before that date will still be eligible for the current 2‑year post‑study work stay.

  • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a UK licensed sponsor
  • Sufficient funds for tuition, living costs, and travel
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • Valid passport and supporting documents
  • Payment of the Immigration Health Surcharge for NHS access

Requirements for an Australian Student Visa

To apply for an Australian Student Visa, you must:

  • Have a confirmed university offer
  • Meet English proficiency requirements
  • Fulfill the GTE criteria and all visa conditions
  • Demonstrate sufficient funds for tuition, living expenses, and travel
