Post‑Study Work (Graduate Route)

After completing an eligible UK degree, graduates can apply for the Graduate Route Visa — the UK’s version of the Post‑Study Work (PSW) visa.

Important Update – From 1 January 2027

For students who apply on or after 1 January 2027, the Graduate Route grant will be 18 months instead of the previous 2 years for most bachelor’s and master’s graduates
PhD and other doctoral graduates will continue to be eligible for a 3‑year Graduate Route visa.
Those who complete their degrees before 1 January 2027 and apply for the Graduate Route before that date will still be eligible for the current 2‑year post‑study work stay.
